Living Waters of Alabama

Dear Friends in Christ,

The Impact of Living Waters Chrysalis in this Alabama Community & in the Kingdom of God has been tremendous to watch since its inception. Our founding Board of Directors has done an incredible job getting The Chrysalis Movement in Living Waters underway over the past several years. They have worked countless hours, juggled multiple jobs and contributed above and beyond the call of duty. I am certain that the Lord’s response to them IS an overwhelming, “Well Done, My good and faithful servants!”

I first felt the Lord’s call to participate in this awesome phenomenon of Chrysalis about 4 years ago. My original interest was very personal as I remembered my first true encounter with Christ, face to face in the Catholic equivalent of Chrysalis which is called SEARCH. It was my Junior Year in High School, the spring of 1979, and I would never be the same. However, unfortunately, like many other members of our Living Waters Community, I sat on the sidelines and watched as the Founding Board Members struggled with there task in the Lord’s name to help put into action this new endeavor to reach young adults for Him. I was too busy with other ministries, too selfish, too whatever to say YES to this call.

Then I received a call that changed my life. It was the call to do inside music on the Girl’s Flight – summer of 2005. Once again, I would never be the same. After working countless Emmaus Walks over about 7 years and several Search Weekends when I was in high school, my love for Youth and my desire to help reach them for Christ gripped me yet again. I said yes to Christ’s call for service through Chrysalis.

I tell you my story, not to bring attention, but to lead into an important series of questions: Is God calling you, personally to contribute to this ministry? Could you be influential in His Kingdom by sponsoring young people for this special weekend? Could you fervently pray for Chrysalis? Do you have gifts that need to be used for this awesome ministry? Has God blessed you financially, to help support this ministry? . It took me several years to say yes, but what a tremendous blessing it has been to contribute to this endeavor. What a blessing it will continue to be to contribute as Christ leads our Living Waters Chrysalis Community out of its season of survival and into His Season of Abundance!

Let me encourage you – In whatever capacity God has for you - Say Yes – don’t hesitate, the furtherance of His Kingdom in the Life of even one Young Person may depend upon your answer.
