Dear Living Water Emmaus Community,
2008 promises to be a banner year in the life of the Living Waters Community. We have been blessed by the hard work and dedication of those faithful servants who have come before us in the last 19 years since the first Living Waters walk back in March of 1989. Walk 83 has just concluded with the addition of 18 more members to the Living Waters family. The men of Walk 83 were blessed by 72 hours of wonderful fellowship born out of 15 great talks, fantastic praise and worship, the best food served in Emmaus anywhere and the love and support of the entire community. The excitement surrounding the community was evidenced by the largest gathering for Candlelight that we have witnessed in a number of years. By the time we end the year we will have concluded another men’s walk and two women’s walks with Walk 86 in November. We have been blessed by the addition of several new board members who began their term in January. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the members of your board by clicking on the board of directors link. This board is committed to serving the community and our Lord in order to make the pilgrim’s experience be all that God has intended for it to be. Finally let me ask that you prayerfully consider that you continue to support the community financially. With the cost of almost everything it takes to put on a walk rising it is only through your generous support that we are able to keep the cost of attending a walk as low as possible. May all that we do be done to the glory of God and our savior Jesus Christ. Remember Christ is Counting on You!
